This is a Willow/Giles story in which Willow attempts a spell and it (as seems almost usual) goes wrong. Thus she ends up in London circa 1976, where she meets Giles's alter ego Ripper and learns something about present day Giles along the way.

For the life of me, I can't remember how I stumbled across this fic. I'm a lover of dark Giles on occasion. Also, I love Ethan, whom I think was not used to his potential on the series, and then was greatly upset when I saw what happened to him in the comics.
